New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker’s presidential campaign announced Sunday that it raised more than $5 million in the first quarter of 2019.

The campaign also said that 82% of the donors were first-time contributors to Booker, that the average online contribution was $34 and that the campaign now has $6.1 million in cash on hand.

Booker’s haul puts him behind those of several of his competitors, including Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, California Sen. Kamala Harris, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Sanders led the field by raising $18.2 million in the first quarter, followed by Harris at $12 million, O’Rourke at $9.4 million and Buttigieg at $7 million.

However, it should be noted that Booker only entered the race on February 1.
