A U.S. District judge has ordered former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to be jailed for refusing to testify to a grand jury investigating Wikileaks.
Judge Claude Hilton ordered Manning to report to jail on Friday after a brief hearing in which Manning confirmed she has no intention of testifying, telling the judge “I will accept whatever you bring upon me.”
The judge said Manning will remain jailed until the grand jury concludes its work.
Manning received a 35-year prison sentence in 2013 for leaking secret State Department communications and military documents to WikiLeaks. Former President Obama commuted the sentence in 2017.
