Governor Murphy will deliver the New Jersey State of the State address today at 3 PM.
The Governor will talk about his priorities for 2020, his third year in office. Askonim tell GreaterLakewood the Governor has not done much for local residents saying “he is a one-termer” adding, “everyone knows it.”
Another person who is extremely involved in Lakewood politics, who requested anonymity said, “he has done absolutely nothing, candidate Murphy was amazing, Governor Murphy is not.”
Just yesterday Greaterlakewood reported the governor saved Lakewood and Toms River residents lots of money by vetoing S4289, legislation that would have allowed for certain school districts to raise property taxes above the 2% cap without voter approval. If enacted, the bill would have further encumbered already over-burdened middle and working-class taxpayers.
