NY Stock Exchange may buy out Ebay

The WSJ has reported that The New York Stock Exchange parent company Intercontinental Exchange Inc. are in talks to buy out the online marketplace eBay.

ICE and Ebay have both not issued an official statement on the matter, but some reports indicated that ICE might pay as much as $30 billion for the ecommerce giant.

eBay’s shares jumped 9.2% to $37.54, while ICE stock fell nearly 4% to $96.14 following the report.
