Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-03) has announced that he will hold a fourth town hall meeting for constituents on Saturday, April 13th.
Kim, whose 3rd District includes Toms River, will hold the town hall at 11 a.m. at the Medford Leas Retirement Community, located at 1 Medford Leas in Medford, N.J.
“Our town halls aren’t just an opportunity for me to hear from people about issues on their mind, it’s an opportunity to take their thoughts and concerns back to Congress and take action,” Kim said in a statement. “I’ve heard from our neighbors on the need to lower health care costs and make our democracy work for us, and I’ve taken that message back and introduced bills that do just that.”
The upcoming town hall will be the fourth held by Kim, who has promised to hold such events on a monthly basis, so he can “hear directly from constituents throughout New Jersey’s Third District.”
Rep. Kim has said he intends to alternate his town halls between Burlington County, where he represents 36 municipalities, and Ocean County, where 17 towns are part of his district. He also said he would attempt to hold such meetings in as many different municipalities as possible.
Kim’s first town hall was held in Burlington County in January, shortly after he was sworn into office. His last two were held in Berkeley Township and Cinnaminson Township.
Rep. Kim defeated former two-term Republican Congressman Tom MacArthur in a tight election this past November and took office in January.
