Rep. Chris Smith Raises $236 Thousand In Solid First Quarter

Rep. Chris Smith, New Jersey’s sole Republican in Congress, raised $236,494 during the first quarter of this year, an impressive figure for the 20-term Congressman.

According to records submitted to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Smith, whose 4th District includes Lakewood, reported raising $35,980 from individuals and $78,100 from PACs.

He has $212,194 cash-on-hand.

According to the New Jersey Globe, Smith’s fundraising for the first quarter of 2019 is way ahead of the $65,277 he raised during the first three months of 2017.
