WELCOME TO NEW JERSEY: NJ AG accuses Sheriffs of working too closely with ICE


New Jersey attorney general Grewal announced last year he was overhauling the state’s policies for working with federal immigration officials.

The attorney general’s “Immigrant Trust Directive,” limits police cooperation with ICE to criminal matters, rather than civil immigration proceedings.

Sussex Sheriff Mike Strada, last year, accused the AG of making New Jersey a sanctuary state.
